Grow Revenue by Winning Business from the Federal Government (LIVESTREAM)

December 2, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

| TIGER Talk

Please register by 9 pm, Tue Dec 1.
At 10 pm, we’ll send you a link to access LIVESTREAM.

The federal government is the largest buyer of goods and services in the world. Are you eager to increase your sales and grow your business? If so, join us for this TIGER Talk to learn how to increase your win rate, eliminate challenges and obstacles, boost efficiency at bidding, and stop the cycle of reinventing the wheel. Government contractors tend to continuously reinvent the proposal process, unnecessarily spending a lot of time, money, and effort. Our presenters, Bill Cox and Dorinda Byers of Ohio University Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), will help you learn to streamline your efforts and succeed at securing government contracts.

Bill and Dorinda will review a real life solicitation and take us through the step-by-step process of preparing a response that’s equipped to win. Real world examples will be discussed in an extended Q&A.

What you will learn:

  • The Foundations and Building Blocks of Proposals that Win
  • Avoiding Common Pitfalls in Proposal Development
  • Guaranteeing You’ll Never Submit (and Get Eliminated for) a Non-Compliant Proposal.

Bill Cox is Associate Director with PTAC for Southwest Ohio. Prior to assuming this position in 2013, Bill directed the Southwest OU PTAC, served in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years, worked as a defense contractor, director of operations and business development manager; and led the development and implementation of large information technology systems. He has more than 15 years of experience in government procurement.

Dorinda Byers is Associate Director with PTAC for Central Ohio. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio State and a Master’s degree from Muskingum University. She brings over 20 years of experience in business outreach, sales, and workforce development from various roles in the Manufacturing Extension Program (MEP), at Zane State College, and EZG Manufacturing. She builds relationships and takes action with passion, vision, and resilience to drive business and individual success via partnerships and lifelong learning. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, cook, walk, and spend time with her husband spoiling their nieces and nephews.
