Using AI in Healthcare: The Deep Lens Story (LIVESTREAM)

November 20, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

| TIGER Tale

Please register by 9 pm, Thu Nov 19.
At about 10 pm, we’ll send you a link to access LIVESTREAM.

The initial idea for Deep Lens came together when the company’s founders, Dave Billiter, Simon Arkell, and TJ Bowen, realized that Dave’s digital pathology inventions from his days as head of innovation at Nationwide Children’s Hospital could form the basis for a completely rethought approach to clinical trial recruitment.

In 2017 Dave, the pathology innovator, pitched Simon, a serial analytics and AI entrepreneur, and TJ, a cancer genetics PhD and strategy consultant, on the idea of a new company. From the inception of the idea to today, the Deep Lens team has been true to form, growing with major biopharma, provider, and strategic partners to take on the status quo and provide a truly groundbreaking approach to clinical trial recruitment so that patients can get the therapies they want and deserve.

Please join us for this TIGER Tale – to hear the exciting story of how this Columbus-based healthcare innovator launched, gained traction, and grew to its current successful trajectory!

Our presenter, Dave Billiter, has enjoyed a diverse, accomplished career in healthcare and life sciences spanning 20 years, in both large corporations and start-ups. Prior to leading the creation of Deep Lens, Dave was the Director of Data Strategy for Cardinal Health (Fortune 500-Rank #16) where he developed data monetization strategies and new product development for the pharmaceutical and health care provider partners.

Before joining Cardinal Health, Dave was the first employee for Signet Accel, a start-up company spun out of The Ohio State University, where he led operations and business development supporting its federated data integration platform.

For over 10 years Dave led the innovative technology development that supported The Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, primarily The Biopathology Center. Dave was a member of the Children’s Oncology Group, Gynecologic Oncology Group, and Southwest Oncology Group where his team managed the biospecimen data management and digital pathology reviews supporting the large cancer consortia.

Dave received his undergraduate degree from Ohio Northern University and his graduate degree from Columbia Southern University.
