This TIGER Talk will cover key topics, such as:
– Understanding the role of nonprofit boards: Explore the responsibilities, expectations, and governance structure of nonprofit boards to determine if board service is the right fit for you.
– Identifying your passions and skills: Assess your interests, expertise, and availability to find a nonprofit organization whose mission aligns with your values and where you can make a big contribution.
– Researching potential nonprofits: Learn effective strategies for researching and evaluating nonprofit organizations, including their mission, programs, financial health, and board culture.
– Making a positive impact: Understand the importance of building strong relationships with fellow board members, staff, and stakeholders to maximize your impact as a board member.

Whether you’re a seasoned professional looking to give back to your community or a newcomer interested in getting involved in the nonprofit sector, this session will provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to find the perfect nonprofit board opportunity.
